NFL Free Agency: Pierre Garcon Meeting With Redskins, According To Reports

Jason Cole of Yahoo.com reported on Twitter Tuesday afternoon that ex-Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Pierre Garcon is meeting with the Washington Redskins to talk about a possible contract to bring the wide out to Washington.

Signing him will take a rather large commitment from the Redskins, as Garcon turned down a five-year $35 million deal offered by the Colts back in February.

Garcon brought had 70 receptions for 947 yards in 2011, including six receiving touchdowns. He has impressive speed and was a popular deep target for Peyton Manning back in 2009 and 2010.

Garcon has also reportedly being pursued by the St. Louis Rams as NFL free agency began Tuesday. The Redskins have been rumored to be looking for a top-notch wide receiver in free agency, most notably former San Diego Chargers wide out Vincent Jackson.
