NFL Free Agency: Pierre Garcon Signs With Washington Redskins, He Announces

The Washington Redskins signed former Colts wide receiver Pierre Garcon just as free agency begun.

Pierre Garcon, a wide receiver that played for the Indianapolis Colts last season, has signed with the Washington Redskins, he announced on his Facebook page. The former Colts receiver wrote that he's "very excited" for the opportunity to play in the nation's capital.

I wanted you all to hear it from me 1st before u saw it on the news... I will be signing with the Washington Redskins and I'm very excited about the opportunity in front of me.

I want to thank all Colts fans from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support you've shown me the past 4 years and I hope that at some level u will still follow my career, as I will continue to share my life with you on here

Terms of Garcon's contract remain unclear, but the Redskins have evidently chosen him over Marques Colston, who re-signed with the New Orleans Saints, and Vincent Jackson, who is rumored to be heading to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Garcon caught a career-high 70 passes for 947 yards and six touchdowns in his fourth season last year, doing all that without Peyton Manning.
