NFL Free Agency 2012: Adam Carriker Re-Signs With Redskins

The Washington Redskins have resigned defensive lineman Adam Carriker to a four-year, $20 million deal with $7 million guarenteed.

Carriker was very excited to re-sign the team as he announced via Twitter:

I'm back! #resign94complete

The nose tackle had 34 total tackles in 2011 with an impressive 5.5 sacks. He has played the past two seasons with the Redskins after beginning his career in 2007 with the Rams where he was the Rams' Rookie of the Year. In 2006 he was the Big XII Defensive Lineman of the year, leading to his selection at 13th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.

This re-signing is just one of many moves the Redskins have completed on the first day of free agency.
