It seems that the Redskins signing of free agent wide receiver Eddie Royal is not a done deal as of yet. Adam Caplan of Sirius/XM has been tweeting insistently throughout the day that Royal had not yet put pen to paper with the Redskins, and here's his latest update.
Skins still optimistic, but again, other teams are in it. We'll see. RT @JeffLanouette: @caplannfl any update on Eddie.royal?

For what it's worth, Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan and Mike Jones of the Washington Post have both pulled back on their initial reports that Royal had signed. It's not the fault of either Paulsen and Jones, who are both good reporters. It's just one of those things that happens, and is particularly prone to happen on a crazy day like Tuesday was.
UPDATE: If the deal's not done, it would seem that negotiations are in an advanced stage, if this tweet from NBC4 sports guy Dan Hellie is to be believed.
NFL source: WR Eddie Royal dining with Redskins owner Dan Snyder, Bruce Allen, and Mike Shanahan at Mortons tonight. #anotherWR
