The transaction that was only a matter of time has now come to pass. According to Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network, former Redskins safety LaRon Landry is now a member of the New York Jets.
ESPN's Adam Schefter came through a few minutes later with the numbers.
LaRon Landry reached agreement with the Jets on a one-year, $4 million deal.

Landry had played all five years of his NFL career with the Redskins, who drafted him with the 6th overall pick back in 2007. In recent years, he had become more renowned for his impressive physique and myriad injuries than for his play on the field. The Redskins essentially stamped his ticket out of town by placing the franchise tag on tight end Fred Davis instead of Landry earlier this month.
