If you're on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, or whatever else, there's always that one person. You probably know who I'm talking about already. The social media philosopher. The interactive motivational speaker. In its most extreme form, it's the person you can't f***ing stand and want to unfollow already, but you're just too nice a person to do that and your parents raised you better than that, didn't they?
Redskins defensive tackle Adam Carriker has had his moments on Twitter, but other times, his postings have sparked online games like this one (via WUSA's site), which asked "Who said it: Adam Carriker or a Fortune Cookie?"
To be fair to Carriker, the fortune cookie phrases are more aggressively nonsensical. However, some of Carriker's tweets are pretty bad. I mean, "Stand up for what you believe in, even if it means standing alone?" We saw that on those chintzy posters in our elementary school.
And if Carriker has any aspirations of entering the sub-Nicholas Sparks romance writing genre after his playing career is over, he'll have to do a bit better than "Boys will break your heart. Real men will pick up the pieces." Yikes.
