2012 NFL Mock Draft: Colts Tell Andrew Luck That He Will Be First Overall Pick, According To Report

When the Washington Redskins traded up to the No. 2 pick in the draft, it was for the privilege of taking one of the best quarterback prospects in years; we just didn't know if it would be Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III. While we could assume the Colts would take Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick leaving the Redskins with Griffin III, we can't know for sure until he reaches a contract in Indy or we hear his name called next Thursday. But now Adam Schefter is reporting that the Colts have told Andrew Luck that he will be the pick.

Which means, as we expected, the Redskins will be taking Robert Griffin III at No. 2 overall.
