NFL Draft 2012: Former Redskins LB Ken Harvey Will Announce Team's 3rd-Round Pick

Washington Redskins fans still awake for the third-round of the 2012 NFL Draft will be greeted with a familiar face when the team makes its pick. Linebacker Ken Harvey will announce the team's pick on Friday night.

The NFL announced on Monday afternoon that each team's second-round pick would be announced by a former player, a "legendary" alumni from the team's past. It is a continuation of the program that started in the 2011 NFL Draft. For teams like the Redskins, without a second-round pick, their former players will announce the third-round picks. Washington is one of four teams with no selection in the second frame. Washington traded the pick to St. Louis as part of the deal that got them the second-overall pick in the draft.

Harvey played for Washington from 1994 through 1998, when he hung up his spikes. He made the Pro-Bowl four times during his stint with the Redskins.
