2012 NFL Draft: Virginia Tech CB Jayron Hosley Drafted By New York Giants With 94th Overall Pick

The New York Giants selected Virginia Tech cornerback Jayron Hosley with the 94th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Many scouts had projected that Hosley would be drafted on the second day of the draft, but there were concerns that his stock would slide further down after reports indicated that he had tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Hosley had a massive sophomore year in 2010, leading the nation with 10 interceptions. He had to deal with multiple injuries in 2011, as well as a one-game suspension for a curfew violation, and was considerably less productive with three interceptions, but still decided to come out as a junior. Hosley is very fast, but undersized and isn't a top-notch tackler. He has returned punts effectively and might get a chance as a return man in the NFL.
