The Dallas Cowboys used the 17th pick pick in the fifth round, the 152nd overall pick, on Virginia Tech wide receiver Danny Coale.
Coale was a four-year starter for the Hokies and could prove useful in the pros as the prototypical possession receiver. Coale is experienced, explosive within the soft spots of zone defenses, and quick enough to make the first tackler miss before getting up the field. If Coale is to succeed at the next level, it is likely he will thrive on the underneath throws and by sacrificing himself over the middle.
