The three day, seven round spectacle that was 2012 NFL Draft concluded around 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday evening, leaving many college players undrafted, unsigned, and eager to ink a deal with a NFL team. Maryland running back Davin Meggett found himself in that mix initially, but reports now indicate Meggett has signed a deal with the Houston Texans.

In pre-draft work, Meggett was favorably compared to Jacquizz Rodgers in terms of field vision and ability to sneak through seams in the defense because of his small stature. Meggett was not the full-time starter for the Terrapins, but did manage to still rush for 896 yards and four touchdowns his senior season at Maryland.
