NFL Draft Grades 2012: Sports Illustrated Gives Redskins "B-" Grade

The analysis regarding the 2012 NFL Draft continues to pour in, as Sports Illustrated now weighs in with their draft grades. The Redskins, despite drafting Robert Griffin III, were only able to scratch out a mediocre B- grade with their draft.

While the folks at SI admire the Redskins move to bring in RGIII, they were less than impressed with the remaining prospects taken including the puzzling selection of Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins.

This draft, and the future of the franchise, rests in Robert Griffin III's hands. They sold out for him, and then had a crummy draft after that top pick - Kirk Cousins in Round 4? Downright baffling, even for the Redskins. Washington tried to address its offensive line, but Josh LeRibeus (71), Adam Gettis (141) and Tom Compton (193) form a collection of subpar options. Grade: B-minus

Of course, it will take time to see if this class can become more or less than the grades dished out to them in the immediate aftermath, but the consensus opinion is that the 'Skins could have done better.
