Free-agent running back Tim Hightower tested the waters this offseason to see where he might take his talents next.
Hightower began the 2011 season as the Washington Redskins starter but against the Carolina Panthers in week five, he tore his ACL, finishing the season with 321 yards on 84 carries with one rushing and one receiving touchdown.
After exploring interest from several teams, Hightower announced his decision via his Twitter feed:

Hightower had long been rumored to be leaning heavily towards returning to the Redskins and with his resigning, he now joins Tristan Davis along with fourth and sixth round draft picks, respectively, Roy Helu and Evan Royster as the Redskins running backs.
