The Washington Redskins released Jabar Gaffney on Tuesday, their leading wide receiver from the 2011 NFL season. Gaffney was made expendable by the Redskins signings in free agency and looked apparent when the Redskins gave Robert Griffin III Gaffney's number instantly. It didn't take long for Gaffney to find a new team to play for however, as he has signed with the New England Patriots.
Just got this text from WR Jabar Gaffney: "I'm going to the Patriots." Gaffney told me he is planning on signing a deal soon.

Gaffney's deal will be for two-years according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, but the financials of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
