To say that Jonathan Goff has had a rough time recently in football would be an understatement.
The 26-year-old started his NFL career with the New York Giants in 2008. After not seeing the field much as a rookie, by his second year he started four games and by his third season in 2010, he was a regular on defense, starting all 16 games. But that's when things started going south.
Going into a contract year in 2011, Goff tore his ACL the week before the regular season was to start, effectively ending his season and his career with the Giants.
In April he signed with the Washington Redskins, a fresh start for him. But now, according to Redskins beat reporter Grant Paulsen, Goff may have injured himself again at training camp:
LB Jonathan Goff, who missed the 2011 season w/ a knee injury last year with the #Giants, hobbled off field. Being examined by trainers now.

Update: Jonathan Goff is up and walking around with head trainer Larry Hess. We'll find out more when Shanahan speaks later.
