NFL Injury Report: Redskins Win But Suffer Losses

New, 1 comment

The Washington Redskins were hit with some tough injuries on Sunday during their 40-32 defeat of the heavily-favored New Orleans Saints.

While the headliners of the team stayed healthy for the most part, some of the role players weren't so lucky. Safety Jordan Bernstine had what appeared to be the worst of them all, needing a cart to leave the field with an apparently serious knee injury.

Long snapped Nick Lundberg also is likely to miss some extended time after it was discovered he broke his left arm during the season opener. Lundberg broke the limb in the first quarter on a punt and yet finished the game in true iron-man style.

Wide receiver Pierre Garcon did leave the game with a foot injury that forced him to end his day prematurely. However, x-rays have shown that Garcon didn't suffer any broken bones. His current status is day-to-day.
