Pierre Garcon's Foot Injury Is One To Watch For Redskins

Pierre Garcon's foot injury forced him to miss much of the Redskins' 40-32 win over the Saints on Sunday, but he and the team are hopeful that it won't keep him out any longer.

X-rays were negative on Garcon's injured right foot and he said after the game that he "should be ready to go." If there is no swelling or change in the condition of the injury, Garcon should be available for Week Two when Washington travels to St. Louis to take on the Rams on Sunday.

The playmaking wide receiver was Washington's biggest free agent signing of the offseason and the move looked like a good one for the short time that Garcon was on the field Sunday. Garcon had four catches for 109 yards, including a 88-yard touchdown, before leaving the season opener. If healthy, Garcon is a weapon to help ease the learning curve for Robert Griffin III.
