Redskins Vs. Saints: X-Rays Negative For Pierre Garcon, Jordan Bernstine Out For Season With Knee Injury

Mike Shanahan gave mixed news on Monday when it came to the injuries suffered by the Redskins' Pierre Garcon, Jordan Bernstine and Nick Sundberg in Week One.

The Garcon left in the first quarter of the season-opening game and did not return, but according to Shanahan, x-rays were negative on Garcon's foot. Garcon made four catches before leaving the game, going for 109 yards and a touchdown.

On the negative side, Bernstine has been ruled out for the season after the rookie saftey suffered injuries to multiple ligaments in his knee.

Sundberg was called "pretty sore" by Shanahan after the long snapper played the second half of Sunday's game with a broken left arm. The team will bring in other snappers to evaluate as Sundberg's status is up in the air.

The Redskins travel to take on the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.
