The Washington Redskins got off to a rousing start in their Sunday afternoon matchup with the St. Louis Rams, scoring a defensive touchdown just 11 seconds into the game on the Rams' first offensive play from scrimmage.
St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford completed a short pass to wideout Danny Amendola, who was immediately stripped of the ball. Redskins defensive back Josh Wilson scooped up the ball and ran 30 yards into the end zone for the touchdown and a 7-0 Washington lead.
With just under a minute remaining in the first quarter, the Redskins lead 14-3 after Robert Griffin III decided to join the fun, scoring on the ground from five yards out.
