The Washington Redskins lead the St. Louis Rams, 14-3, after one quarter of play at the Edward Jones Dome. The Redskins scored their first touchdown on the Rams' first play from scrimmage, with a 30-yard fumble return by cornerback Josh Wilson.
The Rams answered back with a long drive into Redskins territory, but stalled in the redzone and had to settle for a 39-yard field goal from Greg Zuerlein.
Robert Griffin III scored on a five-yard rushing touchdown right before the end of the quarter. It was Griffin's first career touchdown on the ground. The score capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive that took 4:05 off the clock.
RGIII is 3-of-5 for 30 yards, and has rushed the ball four times for 15 yards and the aforementioned touchdown.
