New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith will likely be included among the Saints' starters when the Washington Redskins travel to play New Orleans on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Smith had his four-game suspension for his involvement with the Saints bounty case vacated on Friday afternoon.
Smith recorded 35 tackles (22 solo) and 6.5 sacks for the Saints last season in 14 games. Smith had been practicing for the entire preseason with the Saints while he awaited a decision on his suspension.
Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma had his season-long suspension vacated as well on Friday, but he could land on the physically unable to perform list. Vilma's replacement, Curtis Lofton, has been battling an ankle injury but is probable for the game on Sunday.
