The Washington Redskins will start Alfred Morris at running back in their season opener against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, according to Michael Fabiano of NFL.com.

Morris is in his first year out of Florida Atlantic. The Redskins picked him in the sixth round with the 173rd overall pick in April's NFL draft. Morris rushed for 1,186 yards and nine touchdowns during his senior season at FAU. The 5'10, 218-pound back ran a 4.67 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.

The rookie saw plenty of action in the preseason, carrying the ball 39 times for 195 yards and one touchdown. Morris's best game came against the Indianapolis Colts, when he tallied 14 rushes for 107 yards, good for 7.6 yards per carry.
