NFL Playoffs 2013 picks and predictions: Most believe Redskins will lose

The Washington Redskins are hosting their first playoff game in 13 years after winning the NFC East, but most experts believe the Redskins will lose to the Seattle Seahawks when they meet in the Wild Card round on Sunday. Washington has won seven straight games, but the Seahawks are also red hot, having won seven of their last eight and five in-a-row.

At CBS Sports, six of the eight experts went with the Seahawks. Only Pete Prisco and Ryan Wilson selected the Redskins. The "Prediction Machine" at CBS Sports also picked Seattle. All three experts at Yahoo! Sports selected the Seahawks as well. The handicapping model at OddsShark also went against the Redskins, picking Seattle in a 34-26 win. At ESPN, three experts sided with Washington, but the other nine experts chose Seattle. ESPN's prediction software, Accuscore, also picked the Seahawks.

Overall, that makes 18 out of 23 experts picking Seattle, as well as three different mathematical models.

The Redskins will certainly have a tough battle against the Seahawks, but they've shown that they are quite capable of overcoming long odds this season, and are dangerous with their backs against the wall.
