Earlier this summer we found out the Wizards coach Flip Saunders gave his team iPads with a digital version of their playbook loaded onto it. But at the time, we didn't really know a lot about what that meant. Was it just a collection of pictures and videos? Or was it an application that draws up a successful plays while also finding a reasonably priced sushi place in your neighborhood. Seriously, anything less than two $'s.
↵Now, Asad Naqvi of Wizards Extreme at CSN Washington reveals what exactly this play calling program entails, and it is much more interesting than I would have imagined. Check out the story for pictures and full description but I think this is the best way to sum it up, at least for nerds like myself.
↵↵↵Think of "Ask Madden," when you think of this new program.

The application analyzes how different plays have performed in the past and suggests what might be successful in the future. It's a program that has already been inquired about by coaches on various levels. I wouldn't be surprised if this is something that is commonplace in locker rooms by this time next year.
