Rockets Vs. Wizards: John Wall's Triple Double Leads Washington To 98-91 Win

Yeah, that John Wall guy, he's good. With the legendary Magic Johnson sitting courtside, Wall had the best game of his NBA career, tallying 19 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the Wizards to a 98-91 win over the Houston Rockets.

The most impressive thing about Wall's performance was how under control he was. He had just one turnover in the game, and it was late in the game when he stepped out of bounds trying to run for a fast break. Wall also had five steals, and added one emphatic alley-oop dunk from Gilbert Arenas. He approached a triple double once before against Philadelphia, but he had nine turnovers in that game. Tonight, we didn't see that.

Al Thornton and Andray Blatche added 20 points apiece for the Wizards, with Blatche also tallying 11 rebounds. Yi Jianlian also put together a strong performance on Asian Heritage Night, scoring 13 points off the bench. Kevin Martin had 31 points for the Rockets, and Luis Scola added 24.

The Rockets were hampered by an early-game injury to superstar center Yao Ming. Yao strained his knee taking a charge on JaVale McGee, and did not return to the game.
