Wizards Vs. Bulls: Derrick Rose Outshines John Wall In Chicago Victory

Gilbert Arenas stole the show tonight for the Wizards in the game that was billed as the first meeting between star point guards John Wall and Derrick Rose. Arenas had 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists tonight, by far his best performance of the season.

Arenas remains a bench player for the Wizards, but you have to wonder how much longer that will last if he continues having performances like this.

The Wizards were competitive in this loss to an improved Bulls team. The bigger news though may have come midway through the third quarter when Yi Jianlian suffered an injury to his right knee and had to be removed from the game. Yi's injury occurred when he collided at Wall. Both players exited, but only one player returned.

Wall was overshadowed by Rose in the matchup between the two former No. 1 overall draft picks. Wall finished with 16 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals, but Roses' 24 point, 8 assist, 2 steal performance was the decisive element of this game.

The Wizards return home Tuesday night as the Toronto Raptors will be in Washington.
