Wizards Vs. Pistons: Washington's Offense Is Cooking As They Lead 55-52

The Washington Wizards only scored 17 points in the first quarter, and it looked like their offense would struggle again without John Wall. But that was before Flip Saunders went to an interesting lineup to jumpstart things.

Saunders started a lineup of Gilbert Arenas, Nick Young, Cartier Martin, Trevor Booker and JaVale McGee to begin the second quarter, and they helped the Wizards get back into the game. The Wizards scored at will, though their defense faltered at times as well, which explains the 55-52 halftime score.

Arenas and McGee are leading the way for the Wizards. Arenas has 13 points and seven assists, and would have done even more if he didn't pick up three fouls. McGee, meanwhile, has 10 points and nine rebounds already, and should have three blocks if not for some poor officiating. Nick Young added nine points and Kirk Hinrich has eight.

Charlie Villanueva leads Detroit with 11 points, while Ben Gordon and Jason Maxiell added 10 each.
