Wizards Vs. Heat: JaVale McGee Expected To Play, Washington Not As Short-Handed As Previously Thought

The Washington Wizards expected to play tonight's game against the Miami Heat without John Wall and JaVale McGee. While Wall sitting out is always bad news for the Wizards, not all hope is lost. Via The Washington Post's Michael Lee, McGee will play tonight, but not start.

Wall will miss his sixth game of the season with a bruised right knee. Wall missed Saturday's game against the Orlando Magic after hurting his knee in last Tuesday's victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. Wall missed four games earlier this season with a sprained left foot.

McGee hurt his back against Philadelphia when Elton Brand pushed him as he went for an uncontested dunk. Brand was ejected from the game and subsequently suspended for his flagrant foul.

In other injury news, Yi Jianlian could return to practice Wednesday as he recovers from a knee injury that has kept him out of several games this season.
