Wizards Vs. Heat: Andray Blatche, Gilbert Arenas Keep Wizards Close, Trail 24-21 After One Quarter

The Washington Wizards are off to a cold start, but luckily for them, the Miami Heat were anything but until the end of the first quarter as Miami leads Washington 24-21 after one quarter.

The Wizards held their own without John Wall, who is sitting out tonight's game with a knee injury. Andray Blatche and Gilbert Arenas combined for 16 of the Wizards' 21 points. Nick Young, Kirk Hinrich and Alonzo Gee combined to score the other five.

LeBron James, who has plenty of experience defeating the Wizards, led the Heat with nine points. The other two members of the triumvirate, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade, each had four.

Both teams struggled shooting from the field, combining to shoot 16-34. In what was a perfect sample of the first quarter, Dwayne Wade pump-faked JaVale McGee to get an uncontested layup, but missed the shot.
