The Miami Heat found their scoring touch in the second quarter, but the Washington Wizards didn't flinch and only trail 52-44 at halftime.
LeBron James leads all scorers with 20 points on six-of-nine shooting. Chris Bosh has 13 points, but Dwayne Wade only had four as his scoring struggles continue. On the Washington side, Andray Blatche has 15 points and Gilbert Arenas had 14 points, combining for all but 15 of Washington's points. The Wizards are struggling to find secondary scoring without John Wall, who is in street clothes while nursing a knee injury. Meanwhile, JaVale McGee, playing with an injured back, has six points to round out the top scorers for the Wizards.
The Wizards are shooting 42% from the field compared to the Heat's 49%. The biggest discrepancy on the scoresheet is on the free throw line. Washington is shooting six-of-10, but the Wizards' 17 team fouls has given the Heat 13 more chances from the charity stripe, where they have hit 17 of them.
