Gilbert Arenas Practices With Second Unit, Could Return To Action Against Knicks

Gilbert Arenas returned to practice today, and he remains a game-time decision for tomorrow's game against the New York Knicks with an ankle injury. However, there's a bit of a catch: he practiced with the reserves.

Via Craig Stouffer of the Washington Examiner:

Arenas working w/ 2nd unit at end of #wizards practice. Flip: "Right now, we're probably going to go with the starting lineup that we have."

This means the Wizards would stick with their starting lineup of John Wall, Kirk Hinrich, Al Thornton, Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee and bring Arenas off the bench. Saunders probably prefers the chemistry the starting unit has developed, and doesn't want to wreck it. However, this means Arenas could be coming off the bench firing -- jump shots, I mean. It also may in some ways delay Arenas' chemistry with Wall.

Of course, Arenas has to actually play for this to be an issue, and that remains up in the air. Still, this is a bit of a surprise.
