Gilbert Arenas Will Make Season Debut Tonight Against Knicks

It's now official: Gilbert Arenas and John Wall will share the court for the first time in a regular-season game. The team has announced that Arenas will indeed play Friday night against the Knicks after missing the first three games of the season with an ankle injury.

A quick update from New York. Gilbert Arenas will play tonight!

It does not appear that Arenas will start the game, as he practiced with the second unit at practice on Thursday. The Wizards will likely start John Wall, Kirk Hinrich, Al Thornton, Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee, with Arenas coming in to provide bench punch. This will be his first game action since last January 2, when he did his "Finga Gunz" dance before the game.

One game will not answer all the questions about whether Arenas and John Wall can coexist, but it's important for the two of them to get on the court. Doing it against the Knicks, a tired team that played last night and isn't great defensively anyway, is a good way for Arenas to start.
