Lakers Vs. Wizards: Los Angeles Fights Back, Takes 11 Point Lead Into Halftime

The Wizards got out to an early lead, but found themselves down shortly after as the Lakers took control of the second quarter and lead 57-46 at halftime.

The Lakers started the second quarter on a 19-4 run to open a 13-point lead despite Kobe Bryant not scoring at all during the quarter. Shannon Brown, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol are all in double figures to pick up Bryant's scoring slack.

Nick Young leads all scorers with 17 points one week after his 30 point performance against the Lakers in Los Angeles. Trevor Booker, who had a career night last Tuesday, has seven points.

The Wizards find themselves in foul trouble; 17 team fouls have led to a huge discrepancy in free throw shooting. The Lakers have shot 15 more free throws and made 10 more. Al Thornton and Hilton Armstrong each have three fouls.

Los Angeles also benefitted from a strong shooting performance in the second quarter, shooting 12-for-17.
