Washington Wizards fans were dealt a bit of surprising news as they tuned into their television broadcast against the Sacramento Kings. John Wall was listed as a starter, but was pulled at the last minute with a left foot sprain and is questionable to return, according to the CSN broadcast.
At first, the broadcasters said Wall merely had to be re-taped, but then, they revealed that the injury may be more serious. The Wizards were trying to figure out a way to tape over a foot sprain, and it appears to be the same left foot sprain that has bothered him at times this season. Wall seemed visibly upset when trainer Eric Waters mentioned something to him.
Kirk Hinrich moved into the starting lineup in Wall's absence. The Wizards are also missing Andray Blatche, who has a hip injury. Without Blatche in the lineup, coach Flip Saunders elected to start both Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin, sending JaVale McGee to the bench.
