JaVale McGee's NBA 2K11 Rating Has Been Raised

Sometimes there is justice is the world. Perhaps building on the promise shown during his brief time auditioning for the U.S. National Team or a wish not to tick off one of the NBA's tallest players, 2K Sports has changed the rating of JaVale McGee from a lowly 59 ... to a 64.

↵

Before we all get too excited, McGee is still the sixth worst starting center in the NBA.  He the equal of such players as Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick, but falls well short of the Greg Odens and Andrea Bargnanis of the NBA.

The outcry over McGee's rating was such that it has opened the doors for other players to petition 2K Sports to change their ratings:

@bigdaddywookie Alright we are going to give you a rating at least 64. Tell the other guys if they have an issue to hit up @2KSports.less than a minute ago via web

I can only the madness that will now ensue. Christopher Douglas-Roberts and Chuck Hayes are sure to want their ratings raised. Yi Jianlian is going to be ranked at least a 76. JaVale McGee now has his higher ranking...but at what cost?
