Washington Wizards Injuries: Josh Howard Will Miss 7-10 Days With Knee Injury

Josh Howard worked extremely hard to recover from a torn ACL last February. It took him nine months, but he was back on the court in early December. Now, it's taken him just eight games to reaggravate the injury.

Wizards coach Flip Saunders said that Howard would miss at least a week as he recovered from soreness in his left knee, according to Craig Stouffer of the Washington Examiner. Howard initially suffered the injury last Wednesday in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, and he was held out of the team's last two games for precautionary reasons.

The left knee is the same knee that Howard suffered the torn ACL on last February. He missed the last 28 games of last season and the first 24 games of this season with the injury. In eight games, Howard averaged just 7.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in a career-low 20.6 minutes per game. His injury will open up more time for Al Thornton to shine.
