Washington Wizards Injuries: Andray Blatche Suffers Sprained Shoulder, Is Day-To-Day

Just as the Washington Wizards finally get healthy, they are shorthanded again. Power forward Andray Blatche is listed as day-to-day after suffering a sprained shoulder in the Wizards' win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. He will likely miss the team's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.

Blatche hoped the shoulder injury would get better with a night's sleep, but it didn't. He did not participate in the team's short practice Wednesday.

After the game, Blatche said he was hoping that he would wake up and feel better. But as he headed out of the arena, Blatche said, "It was worse. I couldn't sleep at night. I couldn't lay comfortably. A lot of pain."

Blatche suffered the injury when he collided into Kings guard Jermaine Taylor chasing for a loose ball in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter. He did not play in the overtime.

The team is prepared to slide Rashard Lewis over to power forward and move Al Thornton to the starting lineup for the time being.
