Nuggets Vs. Wizards: Denver Keeps Washington At Arms Length In 120-109 Win Win

It's hard to say the entire second half was garbage time, since the Washington Wizards were in the game against the Denver Nuggets, but they also never seriously threatened to take control. They didn't manage to get any closer than nine points until the closing seconds and eventually fell 120-109. The Wizards fall to 13-31 on the season, while the Nuggets improved to 26-18.

In the second half, it was Al Harrington that drowned the Wizards' attempts to rally with timely three-point shots. Harrington hit five of seven from three-point range and finished with 21 points in all. He also saved the Nuggets when the Wizards rallied to cut the Nuggets lead to just 10 points with 5:26 remaining. He nailed one three-pointer, then added another on the ensuing possession to move the lead back to 16.

All in all, six Nuggets scored in double figures, led by Carmelo Anthony, who scored 23 points despite sitting out much of the fourth quarter.

Nick Young led the Wizards with 26 points, while Andray Blatche added 23, 15 of which came in the first quarter.

The Wizards will not play again until Friday, when they hit the road to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 8 p.m. on Friday.
