Caron Butler Out For Season After Knee Surgery

Normally, players who were injury-prone in Washington D.C. leave and are fully healthy elsewhere. Unfortunately for Caron Butler, the trend did not continue with him. At the end of the day, Butler isn't a superstar, but he was providing steady, winning contributions despite being average individually. Don't underestimate how difficult it is to replace those things.

Those are the kinds of contributions Butler wasn't providing in his last year here, but they are the kind he gave in all the prior years that helped make the Wizards who they were. Here's hoping Butler has a speedy recovery.
