NBA Free Agent Rumors: Josh Howard Signs With Utah Jazz, According To Report

Free agent swingman Josh Howard has agreed to terms with the Utah Jazz according to ESPN's Chris Broussard. The eight-year veteran played 22 games in two injury-plagued seasons with the Washington Wizards and though they reportedly had interest in bringing him back to D.C., Howard has apparently decided to move on with his career.

He averaged 8.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 18 games with Washington last season. below his career averages of 15.1 points and 5.9 rebounds. Before his time with the Wizards, Howard played parts of seven seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, where he posted his best scoring season in 2007-2008, averaging 19.9 points per game.

Nagging knee and ankle injuries kept him from contributing at that level, and even kept him off the court for most of his time in Washington, though. Now, the 31-year old Wake Forest product will look to rejuvenate his career out West.
