Nets Vs. Wizards Score Update: Washington Takes 13 Point Lead Over New Jersey After First Quarter

After the first quarter of the season opener at Verizon Center, the Washington Wizards lead the New Jersey Nets 26-13. It took the Nets more than three minutes to get on the board, as the Wizards raced out to an 8-0 lead before doubling up the Nets at the end of the first.

With Nick Young coming off the bench, the backcourt duo of John Wall and Jordan Crawford led the team with six points each. Center Javale McGee also had an impressive first quarter, challenging Jersey in the paint on the defensive end and finishing with four points on the offensive end.

The Nets finished just three of 18 from the floor and were abysmal on the offensive end. With the second teamers now seeing action, Washington will look to capitalize on their first quarter double-digit lead.
