Nets Vs. Wizards Score Update: Washington Takes A Seven Point Lead Over New Jersey At Halftime

The Washington Wizards took a 45-37 lead over the New Jersey Nets into the locker room at halftime of their home opener at Verizon Center. Coming off the bench for the Wiz, guard Nick Young quickly found his rhythm on the offensive end. He hit four of five attempts from the floor and led Washington with 12 points.

Captain Andray Blatche, fresh off his thank you address to the fans before the game, finished the first half with eight points and six boards but was t'ed up in the second quarter while mixing it up with Kris Humphries.

The Nets improved their shooting ever so slightly in the second to cut the lead from 13 to seven at the half. New Jersey is still just one of 12 from behind the arc and has consistently missed open looks in the first 24 minutes. Deron Williams led the Nets with eight points.

Washington, shooting 50% from the floor, will look to hang on in the second half to notch a season opening win.
