Nick Young Injury Update: Wizards Guard Carried Off The Floor In Third Quarter Of Season Opener

Washington Wizards guard Nick Young injured his left foot at the end of the third quarter during the Wiz's season opener against the New Jersey Nets at Verizon Center. It initially appeared to be an ankle sprain, as forward and captain Andray Blatche rolled over Young's left foot. Young was down on the floor in significant pain before he was carried off to the locker room.

After coming in late to camp while testing the free agency market, Young was relegated to coming off the bench for Flip Saunders in the opener. Despite the bench role, he still led the team in scoring in the first half with 12 points on four of five from the floor. We will have more on his injury as details emerge.
