Nets Vs. Wizards Score Update: New Jersey Comes Back, Trails By One After Three Quarters

After enjoying a 21 point lead in the first half of their season opener against the New Jersey Nets, the Washington Wizards have a one point lead after three quarters of play at Verizon Center. The Wizards gave up 29 points to the Nets in the third as New Jersey fought their way back into it after a brutal first half of shooting.

All Star Deron Williams brought the Nets back, and leads them with 18 points. Kris Humphries, the most hated and booed man in the NBA, has a double-double after the first 36 minutes. Humphries has been incredibly effective in the paint against Washington's front line, scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

The Wizards finished the third quarter with four of five starters in double figures, but they will need to buckle down on the defensive end to win the opener.
