The Wizards were completely man-handled by the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, and the final scoreline of 101-83 might not accurately convey how one-sided this game was. The odd thing about this game is that it was the starters, not the bench as sometimes happens, that let the team down with their play tonight. According to Michael Lee of the Washington Post, at one point in the game John Wall even implored Flip Saunders to take one of the starters out of the game, although it isn't entirely clear who he meant.
“You’ve got to find that chemistry. That’s the only way you’re going to win in this league, is if your starting five, or your main guys can find a chemistry and play together,” Wall said afterward. “We do it in practice, but practice don’t mean nothing if you’re going against each other. Got to do it when you’re going against other opponents.”
