Washington Wizards 2011-12 Schedule Released, Team Opens At Home Vs. New Jersey On December 26

The Washington Wizards' 2011-12 schedule is officially out, and the team will officially open the year at home against the New Jersey Nets on Monday, December 26. That was a date that was largely rumored for a while, and that is indeed the game to begin matters. The Wizards will then play 65 other games, including the season finale at home against the Miami Heat on April 26.

Overall, the Wizards will have two stretches of three games in three nights. The first will come from March 24-26, when the Wizards host the Atlanta Hawks, travel to face the Boston Celtics and then play the Detroit Pistons. The other comes from April 4-6, when the Wizards host the Indiana Pacers, travel to face the Pistons and then face the New Jersey Nets on the road.

The Wizards will also have two five-game homestands from January 14-22 and February 29-March 10. The Wizards will play six road games in nine days from March 12-21. They also will not play any national television games outside of NBATV contests.
