NBA Free Agency: Roger Mason, Washington Wizards Close To Agreement, According To Report

The Washington Wizards and free agent guard Roger Mason Jr. are close to agreeing to a deal, according to a report by Craig Stouffer of the Washington Post.

The Wizards are close to agreeing to a contract with free agent guard Roger Mason Jr. that would bring the D.C. native back for his second NBA stint in his hometown, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

The deal is expected to be a one-year deal, but Stouffer did not elaborate on a dollar amount for the deal. Mason mad $1.4 million as a member of the New York Knicks last season. The deal would add depth to the guard position and also bring in another veteran presence to the young Wizards team in the locker room.
