Two days ago when the Cleveland Cavaliers were trying to avoid a 27th straight loss that would have set a new record in all of American professional sports, Mo Williams returned to their lineup to help them defeat the Los Angeles Lakers.
The storyline could be similar tonight for the Washington Wizards, as Josh Howard is set to play tonight for the first time since Jan. 5.
Howard's left knee injury has kept him from playing in all but eight games for Washington this season. But when he's been in the lineup, he's been productive, averaging 7.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
According to the Associated Press, Al Thornton is also set to play tonight after missing the past two games with a dislocated finger, but Rashard Lewis will be out for the second night in a row with a sore right knee.
The Cavaliers ended their losing streak at 26 games. If the Wizards are going to end their road losing streak at 26 games tonight, Howard could be an important part of the victory.
