John Wall, Alex Ovechkin, DeAngelo Hall Represent D.C. Well In All-Star Game Festivities

D.C. sports teams don't necessarily do very well in the playoffs and/or regular seasons. But at least our resident D.C. athletes are at their best when it matters the least: in All-Star Game festivities!

Last month, DeAngelo Hall was named the MVP of the 2011 Pro Bowl following an impressive performance that saw him record six tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a touchdown. This came just one day after Alex Ovechkin won the 2011 Breakaway Challenge for the third straight time in the NHL All-Star Game Skills Competition. Ovechkin also scored the opening goal in the 2011 NHL All-Star Game.

John Wall has done his best to continue this streak of success in All-Star Game festivities. Last night, he was named MVP of the 2011 NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge after breaking the record for assists in the game, including this assist for a bounce-pass alley-oop to Blake Griffin.

Wall and teammate JaVale McGee will get the chance tonight to show that D.C. athletes rule in every All-Star Game related activity, as Wall will take part in the NBA Skills Competition and McGee will strut his stuff in the Dunk Contest.
