So many people in this town were curious to how the Verizon Center crowd would react to Gilbert Arenas making his first visit to Washington D.C. since being traded to the Orlando Magic. Arenas, who now comes off the bench, said himself in the preseason that he was worried he would be booed. Instead, he was mostly cheered then.

Now? He was mostly cheered again. The above link is exactly how the Verizon Center crowd sounded when Arenas checked into the game at the 1:31 mark of the first quarter. You can hear a couple scattered boos, especially at the end, but there were also several fans that stood and cheered for Arenas. It just goes to show that his fears of being booed were unfounded.

Arenas has six points in seven minutes as the Magic lead the Wizards 51-49 at halftime.
